His Plans…Your Plans

My husband and I have been serving the Lord for 27 years together. We have seen our share of storms and challenges in our walk, but the Lord has seen us through every one of them; health, financial, family matters, business. No storm is ever too big for God. He has walked us through everyone of them faithfully!

One of the things we have always tried our best to do, is listen to the Lord, not man, trust the One who is in charge (many times easier said than done). There are times when the Lord will use people in our lives to speak truth over us, but if it is truth, it will line up with what God is speaking to you. If it doesn’t, in prayer talk to God about it, ask Him for truth and direction. He will never let you down. God has directed us in ways that some around us did not understand, but as we look back over each and every situation, we can see the hand of the Lord was on us every step of the way directing and changing the course as needed.

Proverbs 16:9 We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.

Have you ever been on a path in life and you think, yes, this is how its all going to work out and then the Lord completely does a 180 in your life. Some people refer to them as seasons, some call them chapters, either way, they are not the entire book. Our life is filled with chapters, seasons, and pathways. They are all working towards a greater good and that is God’s perfect plan for your life.

People are going to come in and out of your life. It’s a very small circle of people that will be with you through your entire life. Many come and go for different reasons. Maybe it’s for them, or maybe it’s for you.

Sometimes it’s painful when God is making a correction to the steps we are taking, and during the process we don’t always understand why God is doing what He is doing. Trust Him through the corrections, after all He has the master plan for all of our lives.  Whatever the reason for the changes, Dick and I have learned to love people when they come, and love them when they go, and to do our very best to serve Him on whatever path God is directing our steps on.

We are going to walk different pathways as we journey through life on earth. Some pathways are smooth and easy to navigate. Some are rocky and hard to walk on. Some pathways will be shady and cool, refreshing. Some hot and seem unbearable at the time. Whatever path you are walking today, know that God is the one who determines your steps.

Blessings, PJC
